The department of Planning and Policy Analysis (DPPA) has the following sections namely Policy and Statistics, Planning and Budgeting and Monitoring and evaluation. DPPA mainly facilitates the economic planning and budgeting, policy performance analysis and review and monitoring and evaluating Ministry projects and programs.
The Functions of Department of Planning Policy Analysis (DPPA) are as follows:
- Facilitate preparation of annual work plan and budget
- Facilitate preparation of ministerial budget
- Facilitate development of projects concepts notes and proposals
- Monitor Ministry programs and projects
- Facilitate development of implementation and operational plans
- Facilitate processing of Request to Incur Expenditure (RIE)
- Facilitate development of reporting template
- Evaluate Ministry programs and projects
- Develop and review Agricultural policies
- Develop and publish the food security situation report and food security bulletin.
